Project: Extend Infrastructure to Azure
Extending Physical Infrastructure to Cloud Platform provided failover for file storage access, replication of data and centralization for connectivity of Windows 10 devices to authenticate direct to Azure Domain. having a DC on Azure means we can extend Active Directory to cloud services having one central location for user and device account management, this in turn connects to our physical DC with changes.
Business Rational for Windows 10 Pro, Business Case to Senior stake holders.
Provided with a challenge to completely manage a special biometric tablet provided by Morpho, our requirements from a company was that they had over 500 of these biometric devices in the field however they were faced with the task of how do they manage them. The requirement and features they needed were the following:
A local company was recently bought out by another business in the UK however all assets and software licensing were still registered to legacy Enterprise from the previous company. Our job was to complete an asset audit for the company, compile a list of all hardware, check hardware compatibility, age, provide a report for end of life products and recommendations to bring the technology and licensing up to date.
Global Distribution company had multiple sites, Perth, Western Australia - Off site Disaster Recovery Office, London, Sierra Leon however although infrastructure was robust with solid DR Plans the site had no active monitoring solution to report on hardware and cloud performance. IMC Technologies consulted with this company, identifying critical systems both hardware and software and went about providing the right cloud network monitoring application for this environment. Upon consultations including requirement gathering and scope we provided the company with multiple variations of technologies including costing. The solution provided active alerting and real time network monitoring
As part of a company system refresh to Windows 10 Professional as a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) we extended our clients infrastructure to the cloud with Microsoft Azure Active Directory to achieve Single Sign-On (SSO) incorporating the new install and configuration of Office 365, Office 2016 packages. By merging the DC Active Directory with Azure Active Directory we set up a single point of control for systems and for applications, meaning system control becomes more secure using the physical DC/or VM as master then using Directory Sync connects to Azure Active Directory syncing all changes. If your business is licensed for Office 365 then you may have access to use Azure AD for free.
