Microsoft Add Planner to the Office 365 Application Collection
Microsoft today have released a new application called Planner which is a Project Management Application, Planner has been added to the Office 365 collection so if you have a subscription already you will get access to this for FREE. I am a fan of Tom's Planner application however I will provide a review of Microsoft own Planner over the next few days so stay tuned to IMC Technologies blog.
It's exciting news about Microsoft Office 365 Planner Application as the 365 suite has been really missing a SAS based project management tool, over recent years people have been steering away from Excel as it's not really efficient for this requirement when it comes to tracking and managing project information, a bit on the heavy side, I think anyway.
Microsoft seem to be moving toward a complete solution with the Office 365 suite and I'd imagine it will eat into the profits of other Project Management Application SAS Providers such as Tom's Planner, Asana and Trello as the connectivity and integration with Office Suite is much more intrinsic. This is good news for Office 365 users anyway particularly for Project Management albeit an efficient tool to track projects.
